Buying an iphone games has never been an easy choice. Since the boom of iphone literally hundreds of games has been released and the number keeps on increasing each month as all mobile java games developers start jumping onto the wagon. iphone is a huge market with over 20 million units sold and there’s no signs of slowing down. In recent research iphone also became the top games selling platform on mobile devices, and this includes the Nintendo DS and PSP. iphone provides a very unique touchscreen/motion sensing gaming experiences  similar to the DS, a rather successful attempt to the casual gamers crowd. iphone is not a gaming devices after all, compare to DS it’s much much more towards to casual gamers who don’t even have time to sit on their comfortable couch to play. And of course the price of iphone games are also much cheaper than DS at around 4-5 bucks per game. To tell the truth, it’s not all that cheap IMO. But if you got the money to buy an iphone, I guess you got the money to spend on some games.

This is my first iphone games review and I’m going to recommend something fun and unique. TNA Wrestling for the iphone/ipod touch. You might start wondering how are you going to play a Wrestling game on your iphone as most title involved Wrestling often requires many button combination. But in iphone that’s not the case, everything makes easier for you and it turns out very fun to play. It’s turn-based Wrestling with one button touch on the screen, yup you heard it right it’s turn-based.

You do not choose a characters to wrestle instead you create your own champion wrestle. There’s a handful character customization you can do and more will be revealed as you progress. The objective in campaign mode is easy, rise though the ranks of TNA and be the big stars. As I mentioned before, all action is done automatically, but you have key in the given move in order to perform the action. Everything is well explained on the screen, so you don’t have to worry about. When you defeat your opponents, you can perform a killing move when prompted. It’s very cool and satisfying and there’s a few finishing move you can choose from. So, just sit back comfortably and watch your man do the job.

Another unique gameplay is the dialogue. Yes, it plays a big role in the game and based on your response you will be rewarded with various EXP. It’s a fun mixed of action and managing game. Be warned, the dialogue is extremely cheesy but funny in a way. It turns out a pros rather than cons. It’ll surely make a smile on your face.

Although it all may sound complicated, you are living as a professional wrestler afterall. The surprising amount of depth, fighting mechanics and cheesy humor makes the game. If you are thinking of spending 5 bucks for an iphone game, then TNA Wrestling is a good choice. It includes everything from SIM to action in one game, even so if you are a wrestling fans.
