What’s the dream of a knight? Slain the evils and save the world? I’ve always been a Jrpg fans when I first started the final fantasy series, so I look forward to any role playing on the market even on the mobile. Koan Games develeped something unusual, a new style of rpg like you never seen before.

You start playing as the ‘knight’, knight? What’s wrong with the developer creativity, I just praised them for being innovative. Well.. maybe the name doesn’t affect the game too much, it’s about the gameplay. A fun and unique role playing mobile game. Your comrades have been locked in a dungeons for a few hundreds years and turend into some green monster. You have to defeat them by solving 30 levels, killing monster and avoiding traps along your adventure. It’s not a true rpg without level, you can level up just like any other rpg games. Some puzzle elements have also been thrown in such as positioning stones on switches. There’s only 3 bosses in all 30 levels, the One Eyed Queen, the Shameless Prince & the Dead King.

What I have been saying sound like an simple RPG, where’s the unique point of it? What Knight Dreams different from common RPGs is that you won’t be passing cities or towns, and you won’t find any other sword or armor beside the one you carry. There’s only two person that’ll talk to you throughout the game, the black knight & the white knigt. It acts like an Angel & Devil, the white knight tries to help you, while the black knight confused you and tell you the opposite. So never listen to the dark knight or do the opposite of what he says. There’s also no items in the game, rpg fans might dislike the lack of dept of this game.

What knight dreams offers is a simple and funny fantasy rpg. It might be well suitable for the mobile devices, you pick up and play. Kill some monster, push some stones and that’s all you have to do in the game. No need to worry about your weapons, armor or items.This is the game that will be either love it or hate it. Overall, it’s an playable mobile game with some funny moment. Killing and solving puzzle wasn’t that boring either unless you are playing it for few hours. Just for the fun moment, I think knight dreams is well worth to play. If you are looking for some deep role playing games, look elsewhere. Knight dreams has nothing to offer you besides some cheesy laugh.
